Holy Week and Easter Events

The following events will take place at the Peapack Reformed Church as we lead up to Easter Sunday. All are welcome to attend.

Passion/Palm Sunday, March 16:
10:00 a.m. - Worship service
4:00 p.m. - A special performance of the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré, Cantique de Jean Racine by Fauré and Gilbert Martin’s arrangement of When I Survey the Wondrous Cross. This event will include the Peapack Reformed choir as well as choral voices from Pottersville Reformed, St. Brigid’s, St. Luke’s, Basking Ridge Presbyterian, and harpist Mary Elizabeth Young under the direction of Henry Repp.

Maundy Thursday, March 20
7:30 p.m. - Commemorating the Last Supper, we will celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion at the table in the Community Hall of Pottersville Reformed.

Good Friday, March 21
Open all day for prayer and meditation, the sanctuary, following tradition, will have been stripped of all liturgical dressing. Beginning at noon and continuing until 3 p.m., every half hour a portion of the Good Friday scriptures will be read, a hymn sung and prayer offered.

Easter Sunday, March 23
6:30 a.m. - Community Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. on the hilltop at the Matheny School.
10:00 a.m. - Worship service at the Peapack Reformed Church. The sanctuary will be adorned with spring flowers and the service enriched by special music for choirs, trumpet and organ. All are welcome.
