Congratulations, Steve! URWA Volunteer of the Year

If anyone needs help outside this spring, we know who to call - if he's not already busy helping URWA (Upper Raritan Watershed Assoc.). Steve was named their "volunteer of the year" for 2007. Way to go Steve, and love the picture!

uh oh. the secret's out. i'm a weedwacking fiend. guess you're a member?

i'll provide a little context before bill asks if I can trim his hedges and mulch his backyard.

as part of getting my master's I had to complete some volunteer hours. i found the urwa, and helped them with a little trail maintenance. thus the sexy ear phones and manly boots.

if anyone's looking for a cool outdoor place to go hiking with their kids, check out their headquarters - its open to the public. and less than 5 minutes away. www.urwa.org.

Not a member, but was looking at their summer camp program for the kids (only for 5+, a nature daycamp). It really is a beautiful place and we hope to do more exploring there this summer.

Volunteer work? I think you mean community service... instead of jail time.
